Dar es Salaam, Tanzania , Imara Leadership Initiative (ILI) joined fellow members of the Women and Youth in Democracy Accountability Hub, an initiative of the Kofi Annan Foundation, representing 20 African countries, on a courtesy learning visit to the Office of the Former President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
During this memorable occasion, the delegation had the distinct honor of meeting His Excellency President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, whose legacy continues to shape democratic values and leadership across the continent.
The discussion provided an invaluable opportunity to reflect on the importance of accountable leadership, mentorship, and inclusive participation of women and youth in strengthening democratic institutions. His Excellency shared his insights on governance and stewardship, leaving participants with renewed commitment to advancing democracy and accountability within their respective countries.
