Imara Leadership Initiative , seeks to promote gender equality, human rights, and sustainable development through its work at community level and other partners. Sexual violence is a considerable barrier to the promotion of these objectives and impedes the meaningful participation of individuals, particularly women, in leadership processes.
The purpose of this policy is to establish a clear vision, direction, common language and consistent message to operationalise and communicate our commitment to the promotion of gender equality, girls’ rights and inclusion for all of our staff, at all levels. In order to support the implementation of this policy and enable reporting, a standardised set of guidelines applicable to PII have been produced, focusing on Offices and Staff, Programming and Influencing, and Marketing and Communications.
