Imara Young Leaders Fellowship
The Imara Young Leaders Fellowship is a transformative leadership development programme designed to equip emerging African leaders with the knowledge, skills, networks and confidence to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
The Fellowship brings together young leaders from diverse backgrounds and sectors for an immersive learning experience focused on leadership, governance, peace and security, gender equality, health, climate action, innovation and civic engagement. Through mentorship, leadership training, peer learning, policy dialogue and practical community initiatives.
Imara Leadership Forums
Imara Leadership Forums are high-level platforms designed to convene leaders, professionals, policymakers, young people, civil society actors and development partners around critical issues shaping Africa’s future. The Forums create spaces for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, networking and collaborative problem-solving across leadership, governance, health, peace and security, gender, climate action and sustainable development.
Through keynote conversations, panel discussions, fireside dialogues and strategic networking, participants are encouraged to share experiences, challenge conventional thinking and identify practical solutions to emerging challenges.
Imara Women’s Leadership Forum
The Imara Women’s Leadership Forum is a dedicated platform advancing women’s leadership, participation and influence across Africa. It brings together women leaders, emerging changemakers, policymakers, professionals, entrepreneurs, activists and allies to exchange knowledge, build networks and address barriers limiting women’s meaningful participation in decision-making.
The Forum provides opportunities for leadership development, mentorship, policy dialogue, advocacy and intergenerational learning, with discussions spanning governance, politics, peace and security, economic empowerment, health, technology and social transformation. and equitable African societies.
Imara Youth Volunteers Programme
The Imara Youth Volunteers Programme is an inclusive platform that mobilises young people to contribute their skills, creativity and time towards meaningful community and development initiatives.
The programme provides young volunteers with opportunities to gain practical experience, strengthen leadership and professional skills, expand their networks and actively participate in civic and community action. Volunteers may support programmes across leadership, governance, peace and security, gender equality, health, climate action, digital engagement and youth development.
Through training, mentorship, teamwork and hands-on assignments, the programme nurtures responsible and engaged young citizens while creating pathways for youth to transform their communities and contribute to Africa’s sustainable, peaceful and inclusive future.
