Petrider Paul

Founder

Serves as the Founder of Imara Leadership Initiative where she leads the strategic oversights  of project designs and implementation oversight across all programmatic areas, she has successfully lead projects in relation to gender equality , health , peace and security , good governance, innovation, economic empowerment and climate action.

Petrider Paul, is a representative of the African Union FemWise Africa a subsidiary mechanism of the Panel of the Wise under the African Union Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security, serves as the Co-convener and Co-Chair of the Tanzania Women, Peace and Security Coalition (TWPS), comprising of over 200 member institutions across the country.

She is an African Governance Center Fellow and Chairperson of YouthConnekt Africa Youth Advisory Council, she holds a Post Graduate in Economic Diplomacy from the Center for Foreign Relations and Bachelors of International Relations from the University of Dodoma both attained in The United Republic of Tanzania.

Petrider, previously led the coordination of about 200 communities to be vaccinated for COVID-19 in Tanzania as part of the Africa CDC Bingwa Initiative wide programme of Saving Lives and Livelihoods, and  was appointed to serve a three years term as  African Union Youth Advisory Council to the 1st African Union Youth Envoy by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission , she also conducted consultancies for UNICEF Tanzania on developing toolklits for children for the National Plan of Action of Violence against women and children, Oral Testimony UK, she also received the 2018 Commonwealth Point of Light Award for her voluntary work to end gender based violence across the Commonwealth by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
